DISCUSSION
A contemplation…when the Zifites came
In this psalm the contemplation, or deep thought, can perhaps be seen from the relationship between the psalm’s heading and its content. Although this psalm was written during a difficult time in David’s life, he still expresses gratitude for a temporary reprieve from his troubles. It is a thought worthy of contemplation that in the midst of a series of deprivations and difficult situations the psalmist finds a moment to give thanks to God for his salvations, minor though they may be in comparison to his present misfortune.
